Gearboxman UK-designed and built gear box T5 W/C Tremec (BorgWarner) gear box stripped and rebuilt by Lodge Auto Centre Ltd, with Gearboxman-designed up-rated (big tooth) replacement gears, bearings, syncro-mesh cones and seals. Comes with Steeda quick shift unit and NEW drive shaft slip yoke.
Sierra Cosworth input shaft 9 1/4″over all length, 23 spline. Has the larger GM/TVR 27 spline main shaft. Will require drive shaft yoke replacement for Sierra Cosworth RS & RS500 drive shaft, Part #3168 (comes included with gearbox). Welding yoke, Part #373 with universal joint, Part # RUJ 2038R purchased as additional items.
Ratios: 1st 2.527. 2nd 1.675 3rd 1.259 4th 1.1 5th .867od.
This gear set is specifically designed for the Borg-Warner T5 gearbox and is capable of handling the “big grunt” YB engines or any other rear wheel drive engine producing about 500HP. A gear set that address any inherent weaknesses of this transmission.
